Attorney Jeff Diamond of Carlsbad was installed as Chair of the New Mexico ADL Board of Directors during the Board’s January meeting in Santa Fe. Diamond replaces David Buchholtz of Albuquerque who served a two year term.
“I am thrilled by this opportunity as Regional Board Chair to help guide the many ADL educational, law enforcement, and legislative programs to prevent bullying in schools and the workplace; protect individuals in our multi-cultural and diverse society from hate and discrimination; and participate in international affairs to prevent genocide and protect the State of Israel and the interests of the United States. ADL is recognized as one of the leading human rights agencies in the world and I am excited about my leadership role and responsibilities.”
Mr. Diamond has been a member of the ADL New Mexico Board since 1990 and is one of its founding members. He currently serves on the ADL’s National Commission and attends national conferences in that capacity. He and his wife Evy have traveled to Israel with ADL National Director Abe Foxman and will be going to Israel this summer on ADL’s Board Chair Mission.
He heads the Jeff Diamond Law Firm which has six offices in New Mexico and Texas, specializing in personal injury, long term disability, worker’s compensation and social security law. Mr. Diamond is a former Carlsbad City Councilor and has served on the Carlsbad Board of Education.
